Skyline Foundation Donates Newborn Hearing Screener to Skyline Hospital

February 2011

A big thank you to all who helped the foundation purchase a critical piece of equipment for Skyline Hospital's new Birth Center.

The only way to tell if there is hearing loss in a newborn is with a hearing screener. If a loss of hearing detected within the first few weeks of a child's life, there are many ways to help ensure normal development and learning.

Skyline Foundation's equipment fund and additional donations from a number of individuals, the foundation was able to pull together $16,500 to purchase a new screener. Thank you to the following individuals who help the Skyline Foundation meet a critical need: Diane Barkhimer, Les and Dee Dewey, Susan Dickson, Della and Charlie Henderson, Mary Margaret E Holaday, William Hunsaker, Dr. and Mrs. James Janney, Janice Leis, Rotary Club of White Salmon, Nancy and Steve Sliwa, Kirk S. Thomas, James and Joan Titus, Roger and Dorothy Nelson, and Mary Wade.
